This all began at home.

I built a successful career leading product teams, all for the singular goal of “increasing shareholder value”. But I knew this work didn’t give my life meaning in the ways that mattered most. In an interesting twist of fate, I was afforded the opportunity to deploy these skills in a different context: to stare down my school district and demand the education my daughter was entitled to under the law.

Once the dust settled on my first victory (a nonpublic school placement wheee!!), I realized two things:

1. I had a knack for this, and

2. I loved the fight.

Finally, a place where I could use my skills developed in Fortune 500 companies, not to chase revenue targets or OKRs, but in service of a child’s education and future.
